Case Study in Uganda - Telemedicine Effectiveness

In 2018, the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) conducted a study on the effectiveness of telemedicine in Ugandan healthcare.

The study found that telemedicine increased patient satisfaction with care, reduced hospitalization rates, and improved access to healthcare services for rural communities.

However, the study also highlighted challenges related to internet connectivity, quality of video conferencing equipment, and limited training of healthcare professionals in using digital platforms.
